"My mother is a good German" Taipei edition is not much different from the Munich edition structure-wise. There are some detail adjustments due to the exhibition space and the cultural contexts. (Please refer to "My Mom is a Good German" Munich Edition)
Cutting Area
The participant needs to follow the instruction book “How to tell people my mom is a good German” and proceed into the process.
Unlike the Munich versions, there is no mirror on the desk to reflect the participants’ images in Taipei, since most Munich participants’ moms are mostly Germans but Taipei participants don’t share the same kind of reflexivity.

Two videos play on the screen. One is called “My Mom is a Good German”, and the other video is titled “The Things You Need to Know about My Mom is a good German”.

Letter Area
The participants will use the previously cut out words from the “cutting area” to re-spell the sentence “My Mom is a Good American” and then stick the frame on the wall around the letter that Ursula wrote to previous American president Jimmy Carter.
The golden-frame ones are made of by Munich participants, and the white-frame ones are from Taipei participants.

Wall Area
Besides the print-out with the sentence that Ying Wu told Ursula when they first met, a photo of Li Hui and Ying Wu playing seesaw from Li Hui’s previous project “The Daughter of Time” and a miniature of the seesaw, in Taipei edition, there are two fake windows mounted on the wall, showing the same image from the photo but cutting out the pivot part.
